The invitation to Christopher Raeburn's winter show came to our mailboxes in the shape of a little explorer's flag, the silhouette of a polar bear, the brand's mascot for the season, printed upon it in white on blue. Inspired by the vanishing Inuit communities of northern Greenland and Canada as portrayed by the outstanding photography of Ragnar Axelsson's "Last Days of the Arctic", the collection is a brief, awed venture to a frozen yet resourceful, resilient world. Alight with snowstorms and northern lights, "POLARIS" bathes in fulgent whites and brightens up the muted greys and navies of those icy landscapes with silver or gold highlights and constellation maps. A seasonal limited edition line, REMADE features deconstructed Siberian coats, German military sleeping bags, or original snow camouflage redesigned in beautiful and warm, contemporary outerwear that wouldn't miss a beat in extreme climates. The soft, elegant and dangerous nature of the polar bear seeps through the collection and shines.
